Minor Mistake

Thea August 30th, 2007

I made a mistake. It’s a minor one actually, yet ruin everything built at the end.

Several weeks ago, I arranged an agreement with two operators. One was from Lithuania and the other was from Hungary. The Hungary thing was well-done. I already sent it to my colleague in Budapest. Today, I managed to send the agreement in Lithuania. While rechecking the agreement, damn, there’s a mistake. In the signatory part, I typed the wrong person and company. What was typed on the paper must be a manager from Lithuania, but I typed the Hungary signatory:-(. Oh no!!!

The consequence?? I have to start with this once again:-)

Lesson-learned: I was so over-enthusiastic that I didn’t recheck once again the job I was done with. Next time, no excuse for mistake like this:-).

Finally…

Two days ago a reminder came to me:

Don’t forget to transfer money to our joint account

Then, i remember that we have started it since last month. Yes, finally we start it:)

Objection Completed:)

Thea August 24th, 2007

Nothing is happier than this day. Because tomorrow is weekend which means time for leisure. And what makes me very happy is I have completed my work target for the third quarter this month. I should congratulate myself for reaching that target this month instead of next month. However, I still want to get another additional roaming partners next month, so what we have will be more than what targeted by our management.

That’s why I can spare more time for working on the project that Ogi and I develop. And I welcome greatly an offer from my management to go to Bali next week for checking our preparation for the next GSM AP meeting in September 2007. Working and having kind of indulgence at the same time?? Hmmm….who can’t resist it? And I am the one who can’t:)

Everyday I Love U

Thea August 21st, 2007

I don’t know but I believe
That some things are meant to be
And that you’ll make a better me
Everyday I love you
I never thought that dreams came true
But you showed me that they do
You know that I learn somethng new
Everyday I love you
‘Cos I believe that destiny
Is out of our control (don’t you know that I do)
And you’ll never live until you love
With all your heart and soul.
It’s a touch when I feel bad
It’s a smile when I get mad
All the little things I am
Everyday I love you
Everyday I love you boy
Everyday I love you
‘Cos I believe that destiny
Is out of our control (don’t you know that I do)
And you’ll never live until you love
With all your heart and soul
If I asked would you say yes?
Together we’re the very best
I know that I am truly blessed
Everyday I love you
And I’ll give you my best
Everyday I love you
I believe there’s something which last, and I do hopeful it’s ours. Thus, everyday I love. Congrats for both of us.

My Financial Management

Thea August 20th, 2007

Every month, I spend half of my salary for saving. I have two different accounts in different banks. One is for my payroll and another one is dedicated for saving. However, I am usually tempted to withdraw my saving, especially when I want to buy something, such as clothes. Actually, I have a special budget in my overhead cost for buying apparel or shoes. Yet many times, I couldn’t resist the enticement to get more money to get more things, beyond my actual budget.
Luckily I have a great financial advisor who suggests me to use online deposit. By that product, I don’t have to open new account. Simply by activating my internet banking and shortly I can save my money to the deposit account. And I started it this month. A half of my saving was transferred to the deposit account, and the rests were kept in other products. Besides, beginning next month, I invest my money to an insurance product (regardless the fact that my company affords all my health cost). Though, I still can claim my money even I don’t experience any illness (I can use it for traveling someday.
My financial advisor always keeps saying to me to manage my liquid money in my saving. He says it’s very effective to reduce my willingness to withdraw my money. So, now I always leave my liquid money only in a certain amount. It’s working now and I am so happy
Ps: Thank you so much my financial advisor. I am so lucky to have you

The Sweetness of Home

Thea August 15th, 2007

Going home to Jogja is a moment that I am always looking forward to. Just like now, I really miss the nuance of home. Its unavoidable tranquility is always in my mind.

It’s just only going home. I really love the process. Deciding the date to go home, buying the return ticket, packing, and boarding to train or plane, and enjoying the trip.

Arriving at home, my grandma always welcomes me with hot drink, either coffee or tea. For the God’s sake, she’s so lovely and cares of me. My grandma and I used to be (and still now) a good partner. I remember when my mum had to move to Semarang as she’s assigned in the new post. At that time, we handled the household together, especially for the cooking matters. Daddy gave me weekly money to buy needs such as vegetable, fish, meat, eggs, sugar and others. I arranged everything, with her assistance. I decided menus for each day, often thinking hard so my family members would get bored with the meal.

Managing house isn’t easy. House for me (and I assume for everybody) should be a home sweet home where every member feel comfortable to live within. And I ever experienced that one and wish that eventually I can manage my own.

Speaking about managing house reminds me of my mom, who’s now being posted in Cirebon. For me, she’s the master of everything. She masters of how-to-manage skill and arranging the interior of home. She’s an expert of cooking too. I know many things about cooking form her, and no doubt, it’s very useful right now. Thank you so much Mom.

And this weekend, I am going home. I really can’t wait seeing it. Though my mom and dad don’t go home this weekend, I am still enthusiastic as I can do my favorite things such as cooking and arranging the home (as we now move to the new house), seeing lovely persons in my life (including you my dear), and feeling the sweetness of home itself.

It Means A Lot

Thea August 3rd, 2007

This morning, I received an email from a friend. He sent the email to several recipients to ask consideration whether he should appear in TV show which is very popular right now.

He stated several reasons why he was in doubt to be in the show. Thus, he asked his friends, asking for suggestion, aimed at convincing himself for the choice he would take.

I replied his email. I suggested him to go on. Regardless his motives, I encouraged him to appear in the program. Appearing in that show didn’t mean reverting his grounds.
However, all is up to him. And just now, a new email came to my inbox. He said he decided not to appear in the program. The top of all, he still respects the TV show and the master:)

Note: Thanks for involving me. Maybe I don’t mean a lot to you, but it does mean a lot to me.

It’s not Ludruk that We Watched!!!!

Thea August 2nd, 2007

In my office, we always turn on television when we are getting bored with our tasks. Sometimes, it keeps turning on even we never watch it (what a shame!! It is energy-consuming guys!). The load in our head usually reaches its peak when the time approaches 12 PM and around 3-4 PM. That’s when we spend little time to watch the television. The shows vary as we have TV cable connection.
Just like this morning. Our vice president killed his time by changing the menu of the shows in the TV. Suddenly, he laughed. Spontaneously we looked him and asked him why he did. It turned out that a local TV from Surabaya broadcasted an Indian movie. Nothing’s funny right? But, when we listened to the dialog, we found out why our Vice President laughed. The dialog was dubbed in the mother tongue of where that television located. The dialog was dubbed in Surabaya-accent. It sounded like Ludruk, a local art performance, if just we didn’t watch the picture. However, when we looked at the television, it’s totally different. It’s not Ludruk that we saw, but a movie imported from India.
Such a breakthrough!! A clever way to preserve local language as well! However, I think we need a thing. Why should India-imported movie that was played? Why didn’t Indonesia movies?  From my point of view, film is proven as an effective media to convey message to the watchers. If just a movie can be produced to capture and reveal the problem and economic-social situation in society, I believe it can raise public awareness of the current conditions. It won’t be only an entertainment product but also be an agent of raising everyone’s consciousness. Local movie revealing local problem and situation, conveyed in local language, when will it be realized?!?
