We never know when we need or to be needed.

That’s the moral lesson I got after watching the Sex and the City yesterday with Wipi and Feny.

It’s so lucky for those who have best friends in need all the time. Just like what’s depicted in this movie. Friendship of Carrie, Charlotte, Samantha and Miranda is really inspiring, despite it’s only a fiction! They have been becoming best friends since their twenties and still being friends when they grow up, and some of them have family, left alone Carrie and Miranda. This movie, more or less, relates to our friendship since we started going to college. If Carrie and her friends went to New York for label and love, then we came to Jakarta for earning living( I refuse to use the love and label wording:D).

Like I ever wrote in my last posting, it’s a memorable moment to be the part of our best friends’ success and achievements. We struggled together in studying, then graduated and pursued our own careers. We disperse in different field and industry, yet keep contacting each other. Now, not all of us live in Jakarta, some stay at Jogja, some stay at Bali and some go abroad for furthering study. We have our own life now. Some stay single and the rest are married already.

Yesterday was just great moment. Watching movie and hanging out with friends after hectic working condition. Laughing and chit-chatting. I wondered if I could have such living after marriage. Then, I looked at Wipi, the married one, she still enjoys her life. It wiped out my assumption on the post-wedding life. And just like in the ending of the movie, the four marvelous women are still hilarious and enjoying their life. That’s what friends are for. To be there, when needed.

Looking forward to he next hang out session gals:). The sushi just fits to you all:D

Why you love to photo? a friend asked me.

I just want to keep the moments, I replied. Keeping them in my mind isn’t enough, then sheets of photos are gift for me, assisting me to save the reminiscence. When I want to remember how innocent we were at our young age, the photo will be very helpful.

The pics, which I post in flickr and I keep in special folder in my pc taken from many occasions, by various cameras, and with different quality of brightness. Yet, I love to have all of them. In my down time, I often watch them one by one, sometimes I laugh remembering the funny story behind it. And about the sad story, I regard it as a lesson-learned:).

Ever since i moved to Pasar Minggu, there is a thing changing slight significantly in my daily ritual.

When staying at Mampang Prapatan, which is relatively near from my office, I was used to do make-up at boarding house before going to work. Now, as the distance, I should say is far and takes more time, I decide to do the make-up at the office.

Why? Now, I need at least 45 minutes to get to the office (while previously only 15 minutes walk+ojek). Within my way to the office, I am so close with the dirt and dust, accompanied by the unfriendly pollution. Being 45 minutes in a bus makes my face sweaty. As the consequence, I wash my face once at the office. Should I apply the powder and its friends at home, then I have to re-do it at the office. Then I assume it will cost me much more:D. Therefore, I let my face plain leaving the house and make it a little bit more impressive at the office:P.  I load more stuff in my bag, not only a simple make up set like I brought before. And this ritual started effectively today.

Happy Birthday Dear

1st of July, 26 years ago, he’s delivered by his mum. A baby boy, who later grows as a man who’s independent and full of creativity.

I am so lucky to have him. I never expected that he’s going to be my lover or my husband to-be.Yet, I am so thankful that I now have him by me.
Happy birthday my sunshine. Every thing I find in you is so wonderful. May you have a great life, a path toward success, and beautiful love life.

I am looking forward to seeing you this weekend my dear:)

Last weekend, finally we moved to our new house. It took only one day, but the preparations spent two days. I needed a pick up car to load all my things. Refrigerator, TV, three suitcases, pillow, bed cover, boxes of shoes (more than ten shoes, hehehe) and other things.

Sunday is the execution day. Ogi and I worked together to clean up the floor and wash the dirty parts. One day before, we cruised along the Pramuka street to buy the bed. Having compared the price and stuff from one store to the other stores, finally we picked up one jati-wood bed with the spring bed. Afterward, we took the suit that Ogi ordered for our wedding. Once there, he tried the dark-brown suit and he looked great that way:D.

We had to buy bed cover for our bed and another necessary thing to start up our new house. Hence, we went to Plaza Semanggi in the Sunday Afternoon. We bought two bed sheets and it bed cover. We chose the color suited to the wall color of our room.

Moving house is very exhausting and needs extra money. Moreover, many things that we still have to buy. Stove and the gas, big cabinet just to name short of them. We plan to buy it next month, just after our marriage. This time, we just have to save our money just in case the wedding party budget will be swollen. As we finance our wedding party by ourselves, it definitely dries up our money:D. But we’re happy and proud as we can stand up with our own feet. Just can’t wait to make it. Now, we’re preparing for the greatest moment of our life:)

This morning, my boss and I discussed about the on-going improvement on the program that I run. This is a part of 2-week based regular reporting. We talk about how far my program runs, the interim result and should any problem and barrier prevail, we share the way how to solve it. That processes run lead to one thing. Goal!!

I always remind my self the importance of being focus to a goal, how to achieve it in smart way. Within handling my new assignment, I often feel overload. The target multiplies. However, again I repeatedly say to myself that I have a goal to reach. The goal can be set up by my management (in this way it will reflect our KPI) and by myself.

So far, for the second quarter period I have completed 90% achievement for what targeted by my management. 3 weeks left before this quarter finishes. I wish I can maintain my performance, and of course improve it in another quarters. Let’s do the best. Stay focus!!!

Perspektif Wimar

The topic discussed in Perspektif Wimar this morning was very interesting. The guest was the chief of Indonesia Toilette Association. Wimar, the co-host (Cathy) and the guest talked about the condition of the toilette in Indonesia.

Maybe it will be surprising for some of us. Talking about toilette in a show aired in the morning? It could seem nothing, but it’s really something. I’m sure we would be reluctant to use dirty-smell public toilette. Therefore, the existence of this association is to raise awareness of healthy toilette and educate people on how to use toilette properly.

I still remember a news about months ago about the poor condition of toilette in Sukarno-Hatta airport. Instead of improved quality, the condition of the toilettes there doesn’t reflect our willingness to welcome the foreign tourists who would visit Indonesia. In fact, our government forges a program “Visit Indonesia Year 2008″. What a contrary fact!!

Okay, let’s move on for a moment. I will focus on the talk show it self. Wimar said to me that it’s only one week left. It means i won’t see his spontaneous-naughty comment anymore. The low rating is the reason why it’s terminated soon. I knew about this last time I met Wimar . Meanwhile I was also informed by him that despite the rating, there’s along queue of advertisment waiting to be aired in the show’s break. Like my comment in his blog, I am failed to understand why we let rating drives what must appear in tv and not. Should this prevails , I can imagine what kind of tv shows what we would have. It must be full of sinetron and kinda of that. It’s saddening.

Okay W, it ain’t an ailment, but a chance to show another breakthrough.

What’s woman best friend? You can say friends, you may answer books, you may answer travelling. But this time i say shopping:)

This night, Wipi and I planned to take our best friend, Nora, who would go to Australia for pursuing her master degree. The plane’s managed to take off at 9 pm. Wipi, who’s lately very bussy with cyclon nargis, couldn’t escape from office earlier than 7.30 pm. Therefore, if everything ran within schedule, Wip would pick me up first and we’d go to airport. It turned out the plan didn’t run smoothly like we anticipated. The heavy traffic jam defenitly hampered our way to airport. Realizing that we couldn’t make it to the airport before nine, we just called Nora to let her go. She cried and we’re very sad.

As we canceled our errand to airport, we altered the destination. Where did we go? Centro at Plaza Semanggi. Wipi said, let’s get rid of our sadness by having new clothes. Oh my goodness, i already had my last one about three weeks ago. Yet, I couldn’t resist. The sale tag was very alluring. Finally, one cloth moved to my shopping bag. Stop please!!! I said to my self.

That exciting activity can help us forgetting our sadness for a moment. Shopping is indeed our best friends.
